I dare to take "The road less traveled." "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" said Mrs. Frizzle on "The Magic School Bus" and I really do. Perhaps I'm becoming wise?
Some of you who don't share this philosophy will find what I say hard to bear. On this site, I will discuss some taboo topics and expose some of my flaws. Some people will think less of me, but some people will understand my process.

On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
I use Gather as a place to share my opinions with those who may want to hear them. Having put them somewhere that curious people may find, it's easier for me to spare uninterested people the burden of having to hear them.
I would like more people to do the same, especially those presumptuous enough to assume that other people should hear their opinions, because I have often found such people boring and annoying.
I'm actually arrogant enough to believe that I have occasional insights that some people may find useful, and I hope that those who would find my advice useful will find my advice.
Hopefully I will find scintillating individuals. Hopefully, we will grow with each other.
David, I read your article on Borderline Personality Disorder. It intrigued me as I think a family member does have it (or some other personality disorder) Most of the symptoms fit, the mood swings, controlling behavior and vindictiveness when disagreed with. Her husband seems to not be ready to accept "an emotional illness". This "can" be a really nice person, any clues for getting help for her? (she has children)
